Our New Kitchen and Dining Room are Big!
Yesterday, I walked through our new LSV Kitchen. Workers are busy tiling the walls on two large rooms. No, we do not have 2 kitchens. The Health Department requires us to have one room for preparation of the precooked food, and another for the actual cooking. In addition to this separation, the preparation room is also divided in 2 parts. One part is for preparing vegetables and another is for preparing the meat.
The bright rooms have high ceilings and good ventilation. A hallway leads from the cooking room out to the long distribution counter in our Cafeteria. You can imagine the wonderful smells, as dishes are carried out, and hungry children and adults served. Up to 250 people can be seated, and will gaze out of huge glass windows, covering an entire side of the building. The unique V shaped roof of our Cafeteria, is truly impressive.
As with all our buildings, the Kitchen and Cafeteria building standards exceed the local requirements. The modern design, and use of quality materials and fixtures, ensure the new LSV will serve our childrens’ children, and beyond. Your investment will enable us to move into our new home as soon as possible. Then we can turn on the stoves and invite you dinner!
